The R8100 is the ultra-portable equipment in laboratory devices. It has all the functionalities and testing capabilities of an industry-standard communications system analyzer but also features an internal battery, first-class ergonomics, and a set of advanced optional features.
With the R8100, there is absolutely no trade-off between power and full portability. Its Mil-Spec Class 3 vibration and shock rating proves its suitability for nearly any LMR test environment.

TOTAL PORTABILITY
Each R8100 is shipped with a lithium-ion battery weighing only 490g. The battery powers the unit for up to 90 minutes and can be field-replaced in less than 30 seconds. Simply open the cover, remove the battery, and insert another on the side of the unit. During AC power, the R8100 charges the internal battery, and when AC power is disconnected, the unit seamlessly switches from AC to DC without interruption. The R8100 display shows available battery capacity at all times. Spare batteries and an independent charger can also be purchased for applications requiring extended portability.
HIGH-PERFORMANCE TRACKING GENERATOR
Our tracking generator option provides an integrated instrument that sets the RF generator into sweep mode. The extraordinary dynamic range and response time offer an invaluable tool for measuring and servicing RF filters and matching networks like IF filters and Duplexers. The wide selection of display and marker functions ensures fast and accurate measurements. Antenna return loss and VSWR measurements can be made using the optional return loss bridge (R8-VSWR).
