Real-Time GPS Location

All users of an NXRadio call will be shown in the “Incoming call list” or “Incoming call map” view. Unlike the pre-call map, user locations are updated every two seconds during the call.

Therefore, the members of a call can see, in real-time, the location of other PTT call participants. In addition, the Map will show the location of the user who currently speaks with an alternate color Pin and the speaker’s name on the Pin.

Personal Groups

(group size limit: 250)

Personal groups are created by a user and are only visible from the creator’s list of groups. Only the creator can initiate a call to a personal group.

Member Groups

(group size limit: 250)

Member groups are visible in all lists of member groups. Any member of the group can initiate a call to the group.

Enterprise Open Groups

(group size limit: 250)

The Enterprise Open groups are available for any user to join. The owner/administrator of the group may or may not be a participant in the group and there may be more than one Group Administrator.

Enterprise Closed Groups

(group size limit: 250)

Enterprise closed groups can be created by any user, and members can only be added by the owner/administrator. The owner/administrator of the group may or may not be a participant in the Group and there may be more than one Group Administrator.

Surveillance Channel for Public Safety

(group size limit: 250)

Unicast Channels provide a means for Public Safety agencies to broadcast important audio transmissions, such as weather, traffic control, and any radio communication network.

Business Dispatch Groups

(group size limit: 250)

Business Dispatch Groups have definable times of day/day of the week associated with them. Group members can change for each shift. In addition, the owner/administrator of the Group may or may not be a participant in the Group and there may be more than one Group Administrator. Users with a dispatch group in their group list only need to call the group and they will address the group members who are in turn at that time.

Broadcast groups

(group size limit: 60,000)

Broadcast groups are used to deliver high priority messages. Broadcast Group calls are high priority unicast voice messages. The broadcast messages will be attempted again until all messages have been delivered.

Adhoc Group

(group size limit: 250)

Adhoc groups are not preconfigured groups, but a selection of several contacts in the contact list. Once the Contacts are highlighted, the user presses the PTT button to establish a call.
